Perfocal has a fixed photographer fee structure for most of the shoots on the platform. Although we may adjust fees of specific shoots based on shoot urgency, local demand and supply etc.
Our newest fee structure (November 2022) is made up as:
Reservation fee (£18) + Hourly rate (£38/hr) + other compensation (If applicable) = Your Payout
Definition of those terms:
Reservation fee: a guaranteed payout in the case that the client cancels the shoot or doesn’t show up.
Hourly rate: Payment per hour shooting images on site.
Other compensation: Travel costs or urgent bookings, which are jobs offered within 24 hours of the shoot
We would like to reiterate that these amounts are paid merely for the shooting of the photos. We take care of the customer qualification and acquisition, initial and post-shoot communications, post-shoot editing processes and delivery for you, so this is considered as 'net pay' for your time shooting.

Urgent bookings accepted by photographers will receive an additional fixed £15 for the job. Here are three examples to illustrate this payment system:

Reservation Fee: £18
Shoot Fee: £38 * 1 hour
Other Compensation: £0 (for most shoots)
Example 2 (Some shoots)
1 hour shoot
Total Payout: £66
Made up of:
Reservation Fee: £18
Shoot Fee: £38 * 1 hour
Other Costs: £10 (travel costs to a remote shoot)
Example 3 (Some shoots)
1 hour shoot
Total Payout: £71
Made up of:
Reservation Fee: £18
Shoot Fee: £38 * 1 hour
Other Compensation: £15 (urgent booking)
Please note that we require files to be uploaded in a certain time after shoot (currently within 12 hours after shoot is completed), so our editors have enough time to process them. Late delivery may be facing a penalty (up to 50% of the scheduled fee).
